When Outlook 2013 starts up the Pronestor add-in fails with the error 2869

and/or the thext:

System.Deployment.Application.DeploymentDownloadException: Downloading file:///C:/Program Files/proNestor/proNestor Booking for Outlook/PronestorOutlook2007AddIn.vsto did not succeed. ---> System.Net.WebException: Could not find file 'C:\Program Files\proNestor\proNestor Booking for Outlook\PronestorOutlook2007AddIn.vsto'. ---> System.Net.WebException: Could not find file 'C:\Program Files\proNestor\proNestor Booking for Outlook\PronestorOutlook2007AddIn.vsto'. ---> System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not find file 'C:\Program Files\proNestor\proNestor Booking for Outlook\PronestorOutlook2007AddIn.vsto'.

 

Why

 

Two versions of Outlook has been installed on the same PC, or the Registry key link is not removed from REgedit probably.

 

How to solve

 

  • Uninstall Pronestor outlook add-in.
  • Open The Microsoft Registry Editor - Regedit
  • Remove the following :HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\Addins
  • Reinstall Outlook add-in for outlook.
