Configuring Philips 10BDL3051T

 

Prerequisites:

Pronestor Display 6.0.7 (or newer)

Please ensure that the Philips device uses the latest firmware released by Philips

 

Setting up the the Kiosk Browser and Signage Configuration:

  1. Copy your .apk file in a USB stick (Find it here)
  2. Put the USB stick in the monitor
  3. Access "Settings" on the device by pressing the rounded button and the volume down button on the back of the device in sequence, and clicking "Settings"
  4. You will be ask for a passcode, the default is 1234
  5. Select "Apps"

  7. Browse to "mnt/usb_storage/"
  8. Select the .apk file and press "Open"

  9. Follow the installation instructions
  10. Hit the back button until the file manager is closed
  11. Select "Settings"
  12. Select "Signage Display"
  13. Select "Custom App"

  15. Select the desired app from the list and click on "Save"

  16. Access "Settings" on the device by pressing the rounded button and the volume down button on the back of the device in sequence, and clicking "Settings"
  17. Select "Signage Display"
  18. Select "Boot on source"
  19. Select "Input"
  20. Select "Custom app"

To remove bottom navigation bar:

  1. Access "Settings" on the device by pressing the rounded button and the volume down button on the back of the device in sequence, and clicking "Settings"
  2. Select “System Tools”
  3. Select Navigation Bar “Disable”

Configure sleep timer

PLEASE REFER TO YOUR PHILIPS DEVICE SUPPLIER FOR SPECIFIC ON/OFF TIMER REQUIREMENTS.

  1. Access "Settings" on the device by pressing the rounded button and the volume down button on the back of the device in sequence, and clicking "Settings"
  2. Select "Signage Display"
  3. Select "Schedule"
  4. Check "Enable"
  5. Set "Start time", e.g. 7:00AM
  6. Set "End time", e.g. 6:00PM
  7. In "Input", select "Custom app" from the overview
  8. In "Days of the week", select the days on which the schedule should be active
  9. Check/uncheck "Every week" depending on your needs
  10. Click "Save"

It is possible to create multiple schedules for a device by clicking "Schedule list" and selecting one of the alternatives.

Configure the Kiosk browser

  1. Open the Kiosk Browser.
  2. Click and hold in the lower right corner of the screen and use passcode '1234' to enter configuration.
  3. In the 'URL' please insert your Pronestor Display web server url (Ex. http://your _pronestor_server/pronestordisplay).
    If you do not have the URL please contact the one responsible for installing the software on the server.
  4. Click 'ok'.
  5. Click 'Activate' or 'Go to URL'.
  6. Click 'ok' to reminder.
  7. From the list of displays – click “Show” for the room that you want to have displayed on the current tablet.

Firmware Update:

Please ensure that the Philips device uses the latest firmware released by Philips. 
The description below is our guide on how to upgrade if required.

  1. Please check the firmware version currently installed on the device. It is not possible to downgrade the firmware. The firmware version in the following steps may not always be up to date.
  2. Download the update.zip from http://help.pronestor.com/download/philips_update_v205.zip, rename it "update.zip" and place it in the root folder of a USB-stick
  3. Access "Settings" on the device by pressing the rounded button and the volume down button on the back of the device in sequence, and clicking "Settings"
  4. Plug the USB-stick in on the back of the device
  5. In "Settings", select "About" --> "System updates"
  6. Select the update file from the list and press OK. The device will reboot, update and reboot again when the update is done.
  7. When the update is done, go to Settings --> System Tools and select Factory Reset. 
  8. Select Factory Reset. The device will now reset, and the initial device setup will have to be redone.
  9. Upon Factory Reset, please reinstall the Kiosk Browser APK as per these instructions.
    1. Go to the "ADC" app on the device home screen, and reboot the device.
  10. When the Kiosk Browser has been reinstalled, please also make sure to follow these instructions.

 

Setting up TeamViewer for Centralized Device Management

Prerequisites: Firmware version FB02.05 (or newer), TeamViewer 12 (or newer)

The FB02.05 firmware version (or newer) for Philips 10BDL3051T comes with a native TeamViewer Host application. This can be used for setting up centralized device management.

Please note that the following is merely a suggestion on how it can be implemented - Pronestor does not provide support in third-party software. Please refer to your hardware provider for a setup guide.

  1. On the device, open the "Host" application from the home screen.
  2. In the "Assign" tab, input credentials for a TeamViewer account with an active license and click "Assign".
  3. An email will be sent to the email address related to the TeamViewer account with verification details.
  4. Once verified, the device will be available for remote control from the TeamViewer account

    Display can't reach the server: please check which DNS you are using. If using Google DNS, try to change it to open DNS: IP◾208.67.222.222 OR IP◾208.67.220.220
